The truth of life is that there is a constant ebb and flow. “Sometimes life just does that to a heart…” As long as we’re open and willing to receive what that current brings back to us, there is a seed of gratitude within us that gets a fresh drink.

The point is that we can slow down and find joy. We can wash and renew. We can spend time with loved ones. We can go where we’re sent and otherwise relax.

The Maiden’s story begins in the Black when everything seems to be going wrong. As much as conflict has always been the catalyst to tell a story, it appears that these old fairy tales just have no time to waste.
